Prescriptions
We understand many of our patients take
prescription medications. Your
health care is our number one concern so please follow our policy for timely
refills of your medications. We
will be happy to refill your medications during regular office hours. Please
allow 24 hours for the refills to be called in.
Be aware that some pharmacies take 24 hours to fill prescriptions once
they are received. It is not our policy to call in refills after office hours or
on weekends. If you are on
medication for a serious health condition such as heart disease or diabetes and
have allowed yourself to run out of your medication over a weekend we will call
in four days worth of medication only. It
is important to review your chart to make sure you are receiving exactly what
you need. Calling in during office
allows us to do this. Also,
patients with chronic health conditions that are on regular medications, such as
blood pressure medications, will have received an amount for a specified period
of time. It is necessary for those
patients to be reevaluated at the office before your medications can be
refilled. Again, if you run out of
your medication before you can be seen at the office, your pharmacist will give
you a few days worth of medicine until you can get in to see us. Finally, we will be unable to call in medications for
conditions that we have not personally evaluated.
