Laboratory Results
Few laboratory tests are done in the office while you wait.
Other problems require blood tests and must be sent to special
laboratories sometimes as far away as California.
Commonly it takes a few days for the results to come back to us.
Routine x-rays and pathology specimens take several more days for
processing, physician interpretation and return through the mail to us. If we
are notified of any seriously abnormal lab or x-ray results my nurse will call
you that day. All patients’ test
results will be communicated to them in a timely manner.
